Loan toys

Once you are a member you loan the library’s toys free of charge.  Toys can be loaned for up to two weeks at a time.  We have around 1000 toys in stock, in the following categories:

• A – Dressups
• B – Baby / infant
• C – Construction
• D – Water
• E – Transport
• F – Outdoors
• G – Musical
• H – Role Plan
• I – Theme (duplo, little people etc)
• J – Ride ons
• K – Puzzles
• L – Games
• M – Educational and Electronic
• O – Audio
• P – CD ROMs (small selection)

Party Hire

All party hire is available to members only. 

• We have a children’s party table which seats around 12, with child size plastic chairs for hire at $15 for one week’s hire.  We also have a bubble machine, including bubble mixture for hire at $10 for one week’s hire.  To hire either of these, fill out our booking sheet in the library.  You need to pay at the time you book.
• We also have a range of decorative cake tins (butterfly, train etc) with decorating instructions, available for hire at $5 for a two week period.  There is no booking system for these; to hire them just select them as you would a toy, and pay the librarian for them as you take them out of the library.

Summer Holiday Large Toy Hire

While the library is closed in Dec / Jan we offer our large toys and ride-ons (our most robust toys with minimal pieces) to members at a summer toy hire rate of between $5 and $20 per toy.  Booking sheets for these toys are available in the library from November and you must pay when you book your toys.  Toys must be picked up before or during our end of year stock-take in early December and must be returned in February within a few weeks of the library reopening.
